As a kid, I watched in wonder as men renovated the historic Spofford-Barnes house in my neighborhood.  This home, built in 1749, was a project that made an impact in my future endeavors.  Although I went on to receive my Masters degree in History, I never forgot that building project and those involved.  I left teaching and the degree behind to begin a construction business in upstate New York.  I successfully managed, Jonathan Cross Builders, for 20 years.  In 1990, I moved to Nashville and pursued a career in song writing.  As I continue down the path of life, I realize that building is where my heart truly lies.  Now, as not only a Dad, but a Granddad, I am blessed to be able to revisit the adventure of building with Renovation.

My first memories are working in the shop along side my Dad, Jonathan.  I have always known my direction in life and have crafted and perfected my skills by focusing on what I know and love, building.  I have pursued other interests and have worked with large construction teams, but direct communication, and a need for quality has  allowed me to be self employed since 1997.  I have managed, Cross Construction until 2009, when my Dad and I have come together to offer the best of complimentary skills. By focusing on family values, continued quality, and unmatched work ethics, I am able to offer these qualities as Renovation.
